A message from Superintendent David Vinson, Ph.D.:

At Wylie ISD we believe in being BOLD in all we do. We BOLDY lead with our values. We teach our students to be BOLD in the classroom and on the stage, court & field. We BOLDLY approach our finances to ensure we do right by our taxpayers.

By being BOLD we instill in our students our community’s values: respect, responsibility, caring, giving, grit, preparation, gratitude and celebration. Our goal is to graduate good kids who go out and do great things.

  • We take a BOLD approach to fostering responsible, caring and ethical young people through an emphasis on the core values of the Wylie ISD community. Students and staff conduct themselves according to “the Wylie Way,” the district’s nationally recognized values and character education program.

  • Our students are taught to be BOLD inside and outside the classroom. It’s why Wylie ISD is one of the area’s top-ranked school districts for academics and why our athletes, artists, performers, and career & technical education students routinely win competitions, awards and accolades for their outstanding achievements.

  • When it comes to our finances, our administrators and school board trustees act BOLDY to maintain a strong fund balance, competitive salaries and responsible tax rate. We consistently receive accolades for our excellence in financial reporting, purchasing and budgeting.
